This study examines the practice of funeral management in Setianegara Village, Cilimus District, Kuningan Regency, focusing on its religious, socio-educational dimensions, as well as the challenges and solutions in its implementation. Employing a qualitative approach through Participatory Action Research (PAR), data were collected via observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that funeral management represents the fulfillment of fardhu kifayah obligations, which not only hold spiritual value as an act of worship but also function as a medium for religious education and the strengthening of social solidarity. From a socio-educational perspective, this practice transmits values of faith, compassion, and practical skills to the community and younger generations. However, several challenges were identified, including the limited number of trained personnel, the lack of specialized facilities, and the persistence of local traditions that are not fully aligned with Islamic law. Solutions undertaken include training local cadres, fostering collaboration between religious leaders and village authorities, and providing more adequate facilities. The study concludes that funeral management plays a strategic role as a collective act of worship, an educational medium, and a social practice that strengthens community cohesion, provided it is supported by continuous guidance and innovations grounded in Islamic principles.
